We instituted badge punching a few years ago for
people who did not quite meet the level of "you're
evicted from the con immediately" but did meet the
level of "you're making it extremely difficult for our
staff to put this convention on for everyone."  A
badge punch is basically a very visible first of two
strikes before you're out.

Not that I currently have any authority whatsoever in
determining who gets punched for what, but personally
I'd look at that as a good first-punch incident on the
three badges they did have.
