My favorite from Kazecon was a group that no one had ever heard of emailed  
and then called me and literally demanded 12 free press badges.  While it  went 
against my better judgement, I made the concession of three free badges  (the 
conventions posted limit), and the rest would be 3-day badges at half  price. 
 They again demanded that all 12 badges be free, after I told them  that 
could not happen, they said they were disapointed that we couldn't see eye  to eye 
and never showed up.  It was kind of a rough situation at the time,  but 
looking back, it was pretty funny =-p.
